Biographical Sketch
Dr. Avick Biswas, Assistant Professor, Department of Anthropology, Vidyasagar University, since March 2020. Previously, he spent 11 years at the Centre for Archaeological Studies & Training, Eastern India, under the Govt. of West Bengal as an Academic Faculty. I work as a prehistoric archaeologist, primarily interested in field archaeology, lithic technology, experimental stone knapping, paleoanthropology, rock art, and museum studies. I have published more than 30 research articles in various national and international journals and books, as well as presented research papers at several seminars/conferences/workshops. I received Sudhir Ranjan Das Memorial Award from IHC (2022) and the Research Publication Award (2024) from Vidyasagar University.
